This historical novel is set on the Greek island of Hydra in 1819, shortly after the Greek Revolution. The Capsina is the only daughter of the head of the Capsas, the most powerful clan on the feudal island. Her father, Nicholas has recently died, and it now falls to his nephew, Christos, to rule. There is a belief that his strong-willed cousin, The Capsina, will bring much trouble to the island.
